Georgia Park
After
graduation from Clemson University in 1978 (where she was involved in
several leadership organizations), Georgia moved to Jacksonville,
Florida, to be the first female professional in that office of Ernst
& Ernst CPA’s. She specialized in tax accounting and worked for a
fortune 500 company based in Jacksonville.
Georgia married in 1982, and she and her husband of 25 years have four children.
While staying home to raise her children, Georgia became involved as a
volunteer in Duval County Schools, serving on 3 PTA Boards over an 8
year period. During this time she also volunteered in the children and
youth groups of her church. Through a local YMCA, she became involved
with teaching character and leadership skills to at- risk teens. Her
past experiences, her passion to see youth make good choices in the
culture they are immersed, and realizing the need for an interactive
value- based curriculum in the public schools led her to develop the
TRU-IMPACT curriculum. In the 2007/2008 school year, Georgia is
involved in teaching her curriculum to over 1500 Duval County students.
Britney Reeder
Britney Reeder graduated cum laude in 2007
with a bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education from the University of North
Florida. She has worked with the TRU-IMPACT program for the past two
years. For several years she has mentored children and youth in her
church. Her passion is to encourage young teens to reach their full
potential. Her desire is to be a positive role model and train others
to teach the curriculum. She especially enjoys the mentoring
relationships that are built through the nine week program.
TRU-IMPACT Leadership Team
The TRU-IMPACT volunteers consist of a passionate group of young adults who are hungry to give hope to the younger generations. Volunteers have included seniors in high school, college athletes, college graduates, and youth pastors.
